The intake manifold gaskits on the left head is definitely where the coolant is coming from. The oil on the other hand I'm not shore. I think it could be an unused sending unit I didn't know was there down by the oil filter. What's weird is it only leaks under a load then I smell it burning what dosen't make sence is that sending unit is not where I'm seeing the mess. I can't do anything with it tonight because I have another obligation so I'll get back on it Friday after work

Lauren gave me a hand tonight we pulled off the drivers side header and replaced the gaskits with aluminum ones hopefully it lasts longer than the paper junk I put it together with. I also went over the small leaks in the exaust with some Permatex exhaust leak stuff. I've never tried it before just figured I'd give it a shot and see how it works on pinholes in the welded joints.
Tomorrow morning ilI' finish buttoning it up and I'm going to recurve the distributor. I've been thinking it feals a little lazy so the other day I grabbed the distributor and advanced it until it hit the intake and it still doesn't ping and cranks fine so I'm also going to move it 1 tooth. All this before I road test it to go pickup some steel for sunday's project. And at some point this weekend I've got to go get my parts car and my 87 Cutlass from old bridge I really hope the truck is up to the task

I finished up want I was doing last night and started in on making it run better today. I wanted to move the distributor a tooth so I just went ahead and pulled it to put in the recurve kit. Well that took me down a worm hole lol I ended up rebuilding a different distributor for it from an old aftermarket one I had for parts and received that one instead. What a difference that made! It still feals like a 7000 pound load from a dig but when I kick it down on the road it goes pritty good. I think I still need to play with it a bit more but I think I'm finally going in the right direction. It's almost 1:00 and the truck is a little hotter than idI like it to be so I'm going to go take a much needed shower before I hit the store for more parts. I'm going to pull the intake manifold back off and reseal it with better gaskets this afternoon and attempted to wire up a trailer brake controller. I bought myself until next weekend to move my cars so maybe I can get this thing ready in time. Plus if it can make that trip it should be able to BRING HOME THE 78 Cutlass!!!!! Then I'll have backup wheels!

Took my shower bought gaskets ultrablack and antifreeze guess I'll rip it back apart tomorrow. Cleaning up the yard today killed me

RAIN and WIND! I'm debating braving the elements and ripping the intake off in the rain but I know that once I get miserable my work will suffer???? It shouldn't take long idk

I did some more wiring tonight found a trailer brake controller in my garage that came with my Duramax. Don't know if it's any good but it's all wired except the wire to the brake light switch. I ran out of daylight so I'll hook it up and test it tomorrow still need to mount it to the dash also as I said ran out of light Fleming442 was right it was easy I just never had to did it before. Now if I could just figure out the oil pressure and gas gauges????
