Wow is this a great looking build. What year is the block and is it bored, if so what pistons are you using. How much HP and Tq are you looking for. What gear do you have in the 8.5. Nice job.

Thanks! It is a 72 block from a delta . It is 30 over I used speed pro pistons 10.1 compression . I hope to get around 480- 500 horse and close to 600 ft-lb. I have 3.90 gears

I hope you have better luck with the Mond*llo roller than I've heard of others in the past.

Thanks .I have looked to your build for ideas as well . Me to I have heard of problems in the past . If you don't mind me asking what is the total timing you run on your 455

At WOT (13.44 map pressure) and 6200rpm I have 44* of advance in the computer. That's the absolute max.

At low throttle loads its around 22* advance.

I would love to hear that run in person, you should head up to Norwalk, OH this year for the Oldsmobile Nats.
When is the Oldsmobile nats? Ohio is like a 10 hour ride. It would be worth it though. Have to see if I can get that week off

I took a couple of steps backwards this past week . I started my car up to take it for a ride and noticed the car was missing very badly and popping through the intake. I pulled the valve covers to check my valve adjusts and found this . 2 broken push rods (WTF) These are brand new parts with a half an hour of run time on them. Lucky for me I found the broken parts lying in the heads. I called Mondello where I bought these rods from to try and find out what had happened . They informed me that I was not the first to have a problem and offered me another set of rods. So now I am waiting for 16 pushrods to show in the mail. ( this SUCKS)
