Steel brake line care?

You people are going to think I'm a little off my meds today. People that know me will understand my following thoughts.
-If it was me and knowing what conditions this car would be operated in I would -
-clean, polish and cover the lines with clear lacquer
-carefully install the assemblies
-apply a silver colored anti seize to all connections and line clips
-have a silly grin on your face every time you poke your head under the car.

Interesting, i was under my car last nite, everything is new about a year ago, its no show car but everything is nice and clean and painted chassis Black, But i did notice the steel fittings and banjo bolts on the flexible brake lines were discoloring already. im gonna try to clean them up and put clear nail polish on 'em.. ill have to grab a bottle when she aint lookin!!
