Steering column repair questions

Anyone ever cut ALL these wires and then spliced them together? Having a hard time getting the bearing in with all that sh*t in the way

Would a deep well socket and hammer work vs. the c-clamp? That might help get you away from the wires. If not, you could try adding a 3” extension to the socket.

I got the bearings in. Just working on the putting the column back together.........which sucks.
