I think we are realistic and none of the demeaning names you have called us.

but tell me why do you think females are inferior?

I don't think I took this out of context..

You would think I was talking to females the way this whole thing went in circles

Oh and btw, that makes 2 vets posted, and GP's vet, so 3total so far.
so pencero, the guys who give up their rights and freedoms, and sometimes their lives arent going nuts about the supposed mistreatment. Shouldnt that tell you something?
and if you go back a bit i, and at least one other person said the lack of communications is an issue.
Please stop grasping at straws.

I never said it didn't happen, it did, duh. Better read my posts again. My point in this whole thing is, if they did something illegal, immoral, or just unsavory, that isn't reason to be unpatriotic towards my country. If there are wrong doers, fine, punish them, that's what the law is for, but what in Heaven's name would that have to do with someone's patriotism? Do you think the White House sent an order to Dover to desicrate military remains so we can bring it to light and embarrass them? Or do you think the Joint Chiefs Of Staff ordered it just because they're mean? I mean what angle are you working here to make this seem to be grounds to be unpatriotic? :?

It's clear to me now whats really going on here was over my head before. Some of you really are government employees in some capacity and I realize that its part of the code to defend the government so it doesnt implode, off-duty or not. You would try to defuse or disuade any person talking against the government because from your point of view revolt is mutiny! Well I would just say this then: do your thing and its nothing personal but we both know wrong is wrong. I think its important everyone know I am not going to or did plan on doing anything about this story at any point from the moment it came out because I'm not personally involved and didnt serve in the military or have a family in it either. Ok? So you need not come at me like that and try discrediting me with all these cheap tricks and taking me off topic and out of context. Now we've got the classic 'oh so women are inferior?' question here on front street too. Well I didnt actually say that and I'm not going to either. I was more saying that women are more likely to argue a wrong point and use passive aggressive tricks to throw somebody off guard in a disagreement in order to give the outwards appearance that they won even though they are still completely Wronggggggggggggg

What about the military take on women? Hasnt it only been a few years since women could fight on the front lines in the marines? It took years of lobbying too. Now I'll say this though: ending slavery - progress sending women into battle on the front lines: not progress

here a question for you then sir:

sending veteran woman's ashes to the dump in order to save money and lying to her family members about it so they dont 'get in the way' with their 'stupidass religion' = progress ?

welcome to off topic. I see you've met randy and the gang. Enjoy your stay.

I really don't have a gang, that's Billy the Kid, Jessie James, and Al Capone. Now there are a group of us that see some things in a similar fashion that happens to be different from yours and your "gang", if that's your term to use.

I already figured out why vets arent tripping randy. You dont give a damn about your body or its parts or its ashes either: you sold it to the government for service of this country. But consider this: if a case happen in regards to this issue, the 'victims' named wont be the veterans, it will be the family members they left behind who will speak about it. Some of them wont 'go nuts' about it, but some of them will! They will say that they are angry at having been decieved or that their family member was disrespected by how their death was handled. Seperation of church and state all day, but we still have to respect people's faiths especially around a sensitive issue as death.

Pencero, you're posts are starting to ramble and I'm embarrassed for you, please stop!

No sh*t. Way outta left field now.

Pencero,

I understand where your coming from bud. I agree with you. You presented it in the wrong light which you have realized. You also are making a mountain out of a mole hill. They are getting rid of incinerated body parts, not whole bodies. When a soldier gets blown to pieces by some bomb or whatever do you expect the military to put whats left in a bag and send it home with the body for the family. I don't know about you but I would not want a bag of charred and disfigured pieces of flesh. The fact that they collect it is good enough for me. They could just leave it there for the animals to chew on. Instead they burn it and dispose of it. I think your getting caught up with the fact that the family does not know exactly what happens to the bits and pieces and that it is a landfill the ashes are going to. I understand that. I kind of feel the same way. However, ashes in a landfill beat half a leg in a dogs stomach in some shitty desert. Just my point of view, no offense intended toward you. I love discussion and debate, not arguments, those just make everybody involved look like dick heads.

alright I'm finished talking about this in a minute here. I've repeatedly said that the issue is obviously the dishonesty with the families and not the body parts. For real if my finger got cut off at work I would throw it in the trash if it wasnt recoverable and call it whatever. If I keep revisiting this topic it'll seem like I have some kind of agenda about it and I really don't. I'm surprised everyone defended the dishonest actions which misled the families left behind. It's not worth fighing over/about or even debating much either. Its just plain outright wrong - and we should be fighting so that families left behind by those who gave their lives in service of the country get bigger benefits and are made comfortable because sometimes it hurts children and they deserve better.

How is it dishonest what they did? Everyone sees the point your trying to make. You have the hard on about people being blind to it. They said they would get rid of the remains, the family did not ask how. The words they used to describe it are subjective. You personally feel that they were lied to while nobody else does. I am the son of a serviceman who's death was service related. From the age of 10 I grew up without a dad. The man spent near 30 years serving this country. I felt I was decently take care of. Free ride through college, my mother collected his social security on all of his children until we all turned 18. According to a friend who just came back from Afghanistan after having his hip, colar bone, and arm broken told me he was very well taken care of. He also told me that he and the rest of the soldiers all had very large life insurance policies offered by the military. Now don't get me wrong, I know the families would love to have their loved one over the money but atleast the tragedy is less of a financial burden. Your acting like soldiers are treated like they were decades ago. Things have came a long way since then.
