But man was it frustrating when, for just NO APPARENT REASON (I wasn't even mashing the throttle) the car just went NUTS into full throttle.
Once, in front of a lady with a baby buggy, crossing in front of me, while I waited in the gas station parking lot, just before the ramp going down to the road, for her to cross on the sidewalk, about 2 feet away from me, BAMMMM the car just jumped to full throttle. I mashed the brakes HARD while the car struggled to move, smokin' tires behind me, engine blaring, my foot pushing the brake hard for dear life... the lady AND people looking at me with a weird look thinking "WTF is that ******* doing?!?!?" man it was embarrassing. That was when I decided to change the carb. LOL. Oh and nobody got harmed.

I've had the experience of the accelerator getting stuck and know of a few others but it only stuck at the position the pedal was at. I don't know anything in the set up that could cause the carb to go to wot since even a carb without a return spring if left alone still has a spring in the accelerator pump...just saying
