Awesome. I have a '48 row crop Ollie that I would like to get going again. I need rims and tires ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$).
aint got the room, already have a spare. or enough parts to assemble one. and i have 3/4 of one still.
You are missing one major point. GOOD RUNNING! I have no desire to rebuild a Buick 350. If I could buy one cheap I would. That would get me up and running quick.
Degreaser, fresh gaskets, paint, flip for profit. 🤑
They were made in Iowa. 88 and like are all over the place. A lot of farmers still run 1850's and 1855's.

The engine is not junk! Just a blown head gasket. I did put some mineral spirits in number one hole and it held fine. So I think the rings are ok. I new the engine was low mile, but happy to see how clean it is inside and the cross hatch in the cylinders. It has. 030 over pistons in it. Now do I get headgaskets, put it back together and let it eat? Or do I up grade the heads or cam? Would it be worth the trouble? Does anyone have torque specs for the heads handy? Judging by the carbon on the pistons and the plugs, I think I am doing ok on the tune? Those plugs are two years old.
