Yikes, boost + composite head gaskets = need new head gaskets.

MLS for the win. A set of Cometics will not let you down like this again.

Maybe a little less lean would've helped as well. But those gaskets are not worthy of much more than 8:1 compression IMO.

Looks like a GN gasket set and head studs are in your future
Thank the car gods it was just a hg.

This engine was originally designed for 5 psi of boost not the 12+ I put to it.

Looks like a weekend of getting it back together once you get a set of head gaskets. Lots of time.

Do you know what the AFR was when this occurred?

No because I still have not got my wideband gauge working and the Holley monitor was not working either. It was just supposed to be a quick drive. What ever I did when I rerouted my wiring made the monitor worse.

It's early in the season, throw a gasket in it and keep driving it!

If it was August or September my answer might be different. My mantra is to never take a car down early in the season.

Slap it together and get it back on the road asap!

I am happy, but almost disappointed. I have been looking forward to changing my engine combination, but not really ready for that step yet and it is the beginning of the cruising season.

I was also hoping for this.
