I have to give it to the fellas that's helping me along the way. These guys go beyond my expectations to exceed my satisfaction. They are actually as excited as I am building this Salon. I was always told two heads are better than one, and in this case I have three. The wires are currently being tucked and hide. Wire conduit is being installed to give it a more stock appearance. Old conduit is being replaced. I just wanted to show where we decided to mount the fuel regulator.

Congrats on the progress, hearing it come to life is one of the best things ever… I have spent 2.5 years on mine and have been driving it since last week.
Thanks bro and glad you finally got yours on the road and enjoying it. It won't be long until I will be enjoying mine. The motivation is real💪🏿✊🏿

I'm at the point in the build of the Salon, where I need to order the hood. I let the best part of the day get past me, so I suppose Monday I will call VFN Fiberglass.
I like the straight scoops better on this hood better than the American Body Source hood angled scoops. It will look awesome! I hardly wait to hear your thoughts on the powertrain with the first test drive.

The Ram ports line up nicely with the g body cutlass

The driveshaft is huge, compared to the original driveshaft that came in the Salon. I believe the bigger is from an Olds Hurst, but I can not remember. To my surprise it's just as light as the smaller diameter shaft. Maybe even lighter.

The Salon has been getting the extra attention it need. We've been busy replacing those old parts. Installed a new emergency parking break cable and hood release cable, I bought from The Parts Place Inc. Also installed the aluminum brake drums, and installed the power stop brakes and calipers kit. I will upload pics as soon as possible, and thanks for the continued support.

So here is an update on the Salon. I need to upgrade the brake system due to low vacuum pressure. So I'm looking into the hydro boost system. I would also like any feedback on what you guys have done or your preference. I've read of vaccum pumps and larger air canisters but have heard great things about hydro boost.

Before I go back and read about your motor, how big of a cam are you using???

It 227/241 duration Comp Cams Thumper hydraulic flat tappet, I believe. Probably the tight LSA is hurting idle quality and vacuum.
