I have a 34 mm I used some bushings for a 77? Camaro and they fit my hoops no problem

Yes, its the 3rd gen OEM 36mm bushes that are different. Either the hoops were taller of there was a pocket the bushing went into, but it needs trimming or shimming to work properly, or the hoop or the bolts (or both) will bend or break when you tighten it down.

I trimmed the hump and the brackets still don't bottom without a lot of force applied to the bolts. My brackets still needed 1/4" shims to get both sides of the bracket to flush on the frame. Without shims the bolts can get ugly when tightening and a broken sway bar bolt sucks.

You should be able to tell off the car how much shimming/trimming is needed by putting the bushing in the bracket and seeing if a straight edge can touch both sides of the bracket with just a little bit of force.

I got the bushings for a 36mm bar from a company called Top Down Specialties in California. The fit the O.E. hoops, and there is a provision to install grease fittings in the stock hoops, to all ow the bushings to be lubricated.

Before you remove the bolts for the hoops spray the threads on the inside of the frame with a good lubricant and butter them with anti seize when installing the bolts

I am probably going to retap all the bolt holes larger, since I already had to do this for one of them when I got the car. Thanks for the links, as soon as I receive my bar and verify its diameter I will order. If its not truly a 36mm I might ask the seller for a return and hit you up for one...

just remember you'll need small headed bolts cause of the clearance issues with the hoop

Do the 34 mm bushings require mounting spacers too or just the 36 mm require them?

I would avoid using aluminum for spacers because of galvanic issues with the steel frame.
