Not much to post so far. Just starting a thread for my adventure on The Camel (1981 Iraqi Taxi)

Most recent thing I did was swap out the steering wheel with one from Forever Sharp.

I also got some seats made from Cerullo, just arrived today. Will need to weld in bucket seat mounts and probably do some floor pan patching.

I'll make another post with some info and pics of what I've done before this.

Since The Camel went auto you wouldn't be up for a direct swap for a auto brake pedal? Got one here that I don't need.

Here's a few photos to show where the car was at when we pulled it from the field to how it is now.

It was sitting with a 305 in it, which we got running but it had bad lifters. Instead of replacing that, we cleaned up and painted a 350 that we had sitting around (been sitting in garage for 15 or so years) and dropped that in. Runs great, doesn't leak or burn oil so far.

Replaced the fuel tank. Put a new cheap oem exhaust on it as the existing one was basically a rusted out and broken straight pipe. The exhaust manifolds on the 350 were different than the 305 so we pieced together our own Y pipe from old rusty exhaust piece. Welding that didn't work so great so there are some leaks, had to crush it a bit for clearance and I have to be careful over speed bumps for now. Plan is to get a Hooker Blackheart 2.5" Dual kit for the car.

Tires were super old and mismatched, so I got new rims and tires which I'm very happy with so far.

I also replaced the steering shaft to get rid of the slop in the rag joint. Wow what a difference! But I'd like to get a borgeson steering box as well. Might do that later this summer.

I think those are the main things so far. Planning to install the seats this coming weekend.

I have a set of Cerullo GT buckets in both of my Gbody's, they are very comfortable and look great.
I did make all 4 of mine power by using bases from driver's side 60/40 Gbody seats.

seeing your post of the ones in your Monte is where I first came across this company.

question for you. I see you've installed the Borgeson 800130 steering box in your car. https://gbodyforum.com/threads/new-steering-box-suggestions-please.80637/post-825376
was the pitman arm required, or you just elected to replace it?
I was reading the borgeson site and it said it fits the stock arm. But not sure if thats correct...
