If I can grab traction I'm sure im in the high 13's to really low 14's with my set up.

I dragged your post in to make a general point, and I mean no offense.
Go to your local strip and find out if it really will run 13s or 14s. If it does, hats off to you for your efforts. If it doesn't, go and sort it out or keep quiet when the Ricers (or Hot Hatchers in the UK) sound off about how quick their cars are.
Be warned, some of them really are very fast, technology has come a long way since the last G Body was manufactured.......

Roger.

I imagine I can grab traction. Its got a new posi. It's more the tires im hoping hold up lol. But our car club is renting out a 1/8 mile track july 26. I'll see then how it runs.

I am not a ricer fan, but I have seen some nicely done ones and ones that flat out deliver the mail and give change. The biggest problem in judging cars is it impossible to tell what has been done from the outside and sometimes hard to tell even with hood open. The other issue is many people lie about their setups... I once was watching a GN run and it was sick fast and the guy was spouting off how it was "stock"... As stories be told I found out that he had $20,000 invested in the engine alone... Not what I would call stock by any means, but to him because it was all reworked block, heads, turbo etc he felt that was "stock". Same be told for many ricers....
Personally anymore I wait to see a car run before deciding it's potential or lack there of.

when you are "street" racing or grudge racing, BELIEVE NO ONE AND NOTHING. especially if there is money on the line. Anytime someone asks what I have done to it, i reply with "its factory". Which most people take as factory stock. Yet to me, its factory. All those parts came from someones factory. Sure as hell wasn't the "factory" that built the car to begin with, but a factory.

This is the boostin talon TSi. He makes about 100hp more than my own talon. And this one isn't even the "fastest". Keep in mind this car is a 5 speed.

Also, never trust what a car "runs" until there is money on the line. I have personally run my boost levels low to hustle someone into taking a race so they think they have a chance. I run 35psi at the track, but 15psi until I have a taker to race. Huge difference in power. Take a race thinking im running 11's, and then all of a sudden im trappin in the 9's

That's why bracket racing has break out disqualification.
But if you want to know how fast your car really is, take it down the strip. You might be disappointed, you might break parts, you might end up spending $$$$.
There should be a health warning at RWYB meets; "Warning, drag racing can be addictive". 😀

Roger.

Just run it at a track and see what happens. If he's N/A there's only so much that can be done. That gen of civic isn't really considered a great platform for a build anyways unless it's an si.

I don't think the kid is a moron.....he wouldn't say anything if no one listened to him.
