Yeah, putting the wrong wheels on your car, not worth it. I figured clearance holes were better than cutting studs, since they are covered with caps. For one, I think half these rims are disk brake wheels, the other half, drum brakes. The back ones would not even turn on the front. Maybe they have different back spacing, causing the contact, crazy how far inboard the back wheels were, I could have got away with 2" spacers there. Looks a lot better and no more rubbing!

I would rather cut the studs, studs are easy to find and replace while you can't fix or sell a rim after drilling holes in it

These are plain 14" steel rims, they are worth pretty much nothing but I get your point. I would not drill out my factory aluminum rims or my SS3 or Pontiac Ralleye 2 rims to fit these spacers. I seriously considered cutting the studs. The 1/2" spacers still look plenty strong. I torqued all the spacers to 110 ft/lbs and sprayed the flanges with Liquid Wrench Rust Inhibitor, so galvanic corrosion would not occur as easily. These spacers are removable as is and I can go back to the aluminum rims. These may stay on the car but at least I can go back, cutting studs may have prevented going back to the original rims.
