Tips for changing intake manifold

Not sure. It was the one that was in the old manifold.

Also a side note. The radiator hose that goes from the drivers side top of the radiator to the top of the intake is hot as sh*t. The radiator hose thats goes from the bottom of the engine to the bottom passenger side of the radiator isn't really hot at all. Warm, but that's it.

the rad is plugged

Alright guys, just took it for a serious cruise for like 20mins. Didn't even get close to overheating. Whatever was wrong with it seems to be gone now.

Well I've come this far. Maybe I'll see if I can't get a new thermostat if it gives me trouble. I assume one that is on par with the factory thermostat would be best?

A 10 dollar part now could save you thousands later.......

Yeah, the factory replacement would work just fine for your application.

I think it may have been an issue with bleeding the system and air pockets were in the system

definitely could have been a bubble,

Yea I didn't bleed anything. Don't really know how. It's alright now tho, no more smoking. And a factory replacement thermostat may be in order as well. I'll have to work on getting that valve cover breather thing dealt with as well. Right now she at least runs and drives without trouble, and I'm happy. Thanks for all your help guys! Hopefully all of the information compiled on this single thread is enough to help the next guy who wants to do this and doesn't know anything about it haha. The car is still a work in progress! The work never stops lol
