Trans go shift kit tv boost valve stuck

Make sure the governor is all together, it will not shift past first otherwise. Did you check line pressure?

I didn’t remove the governor, as the kit didn’t have a gasket so I left it as is .



I haven’t checked the latest be pressure need a 1/8” to 1/4 elbow
Any thing else I should check ?

Yes, check the servo. I installed it too tight the first time, shifted great, chirped second, till I lost OD and reverse. I installed it with none of the washers provided last time, gave the right clearance that way on my 2004R. I would double check the governor is all together, a check ball or spring in the pan is a dead giveaway. Get the adapter and the gauge on before anymore tests.

I had dropped the pan last night, and didn’t see anything In the pan .

I did use on one shim on the servo worked fine when I checked perhaps I’ll remove that shim.

Need to get new transmission fluid and the adapter

If the fluid is burnt on the 1st drive, then I'd fear the clutches are burnt as well. I agree 100% with a line pressure check, changing the fluid and filter is not going to resolve a thing IMHO.

Did it work correctly prior to the shift kit install?

So basically the transmission is cooked?

It worked ok prior to the shift kit , it’s original transmission for the car and I’m not sure how many original km are on it.




Checked Home Depot , didn’t have rhe correct elbow .

So will check another store

Treat it right, IMO, to a proper rebuild. Depending on the location, $800-1800. Learn how to set the fresh trans up correctly and be done with it for another 100K miles.

When looking for the fitting, find someone near you that sells and makes hydraulic hoses. Get the fitting in steel rather than brass. It will be cheaper and last a lifetime as well. Also can be used for most anything upto that pressure range.

That fluid tells the story as far as I'm concerned.

Your numbers look ok at full TV, except 1 and 2, a bit low. Your no TV numbers look a bit low, what are the reverse numbers?
