yes they are together and and in good shape. is there any grounds on the column? i have power to the gauge lights when i turn the key
Would it be possible to disconnect the wires from starter and check each one individually just to make sure you have power from the switch?

i will try that tomorrow thanks i would need a test light and someone to turn the key to check right?

Once while driving. The little wires going to my starter started fraying at the connection to the starter and killed my car while on the interstate. Luckily I was on the far right lane.

this is my first time starting my car since the frame off this is my first car and first frame off
It's gotta be something small. Check the wires tomorrow then you'll have a starting point. Could be as simple as the starter solenoid gone bad.

I had one on an El Camino that would only start doing the screw driver trick. Even though the wires had power to the solenoid.

what about using a ford solenoid. It's easier the test the wires standing up and you don't have any worries about the header frying a wire. I think I have a spare ford solenoid hanging around if you want to use it.
