Choke horn removed and polished up as much as necessary. Side by side old and new intake. Might inherit a stock th350 to throw in for now and blow up... more to come!

Going for more extreme high compression naturally aspirated 23 degree stock block sbc high rpm goals. Full interior column shift street car. No trans brake, low vacuum, etc. 110 octane blah blah blah, no spray, no forced induction, 1st gen block high revving. Not many people running set ups like what I intend in a real street car at the end of the day. I appreciate you guys that still check in on this long drawn out build! Motivation is paramount!
 
Mock up of what's to come! Gonna do the final torque down this weekend, measure pushrod sh*t, get the accessory drive bolted up, etc. Slowly but surely

Idk if anybody has ever done this but I took a dremel and rounded off the edges of the cap above the contacts. I've cut myself far too many times. I think the edge removal and provision will make things easier.

Valvetrain set, intake on, valve covers, distributor, sensors in place... an fittings coming in this week to plumb the fuel delivery, and I have the carb torn apart doing a rebuild. Hopefully I can get her running soon and then re-address the trans situation.

That high pressure P.S. hose looks questionable with that bend in there, you might want to try a different one.
