I've read this whole thread from beginning to end and must say this has made my night at work very enjoyable and helped me stay awake(night shift).

This thread has everything a build project should have. Engine work, suspension, sounds, rims, relationship and even some drama...lol. Seriously though, I appreciate this build and has inspired me to do what I want to my build and not let anyone try to influence or deter me from doing exactly what I want to do.

Looking forward to more post of the build and more inspiration.

Thanks brother! I'm by no means a great photographer or a person with enough patience to log every detail but everything you see is authentic. I try to do everything I can at home with my own knowledge and resources. I really appreciate that at least one person is enjoying my adventure with this car. I will try to post more often. I'm willing to answer any questions and I enjoy having extra eyes to see things that I may not see.

Realizing it's been almost a year since I've posted let alone worked on this car, I will have some updates soon! Assembling and refinishing some different wheels, head swap, new audio, etc. I actually swapped my blown trans about 3 months ago only to find out that the replacement was shot as well. Pics on the way

Faces and barrels. Started cleaning up the faces to polish as the final finish and will start stripping the barrels soon. Either going to spray them black or send out to be chromed. 22x10 and 22x9 GFG 3 piece staggered.

Is it the 2004R trans? They were better than the 200C stock but not by a lot. I was told the non hi po ones commonly went out around 130,000 km by the wrecker and my boss. The hi po ones held up better, my boss bagged his Monte SS when it was 5 years old and 0 issues. I bought the 2004R that my local wrecker, the last one he had that he thought might actually work. It shifts great, especially with the TV slightly on the tight side.

Chevy th350. Eventually I'd like to have a built 2004r, they are better than 700r4 in my experience, but for now 3spd is the setup

My friend PBS Automotive traded me the Chinese dual plane for hi rise Victor Jr and trying to convince me to run a 150 shot. Heads and exhaust are off. Cutting the choke horn off and blending it in and swapping power valve on carb hopefully this weekend. A bunch of ARP bolts on the way in addition to what's already here. Exhaust, heads, intake manifold, bellhousing to block all ARP, along with new carb studs, and water pump studs. Found my missing motor mount nut. Bent a pushrod so new ones getting ordered once the the heads are on and lenght needed is determined.

She's nekkid! Does anybody know how to easily identify what metal my pistons are made from. They only have .060 on them which confirms the bore, but the previous owner said he spent $800 just on the pistons.

Choke horn is off! Time for finish work and polishing. Some new fasteners arrived. Looking at pushrod options since I bent one during head removal, but I was anticipating buying new ones anyway for the new heads and roller rockers.
