that was exactly my thinking when i bought mine. time i could better use doing something more productive.and after buying all the needed plugs and relays you really dont save much compared to time spent assembling it all

here's the 4 relays I wired up to use my signal side of my front lights for a day time driving light....I have way too much time on my hands...haha

I wish DRL were mandatory here, I see so my morons driving in the dark just because their dash lights are on they think their lights are on, I installed them on my Lincoln.

they are mandatory here but not on cars that were not equipped with them. I like them so I am more visible. I have it wired with the relays, capacitors and diodes so if I turn the signal light on the DRL goes out on that side so the blinker works and when I turn my headlights on the DRL shuts off. Soon as I start the car the DRL's go on

It's all about visibility whether it be dark or raining etc. at least with the DRL there is something lit up so you can be seen.

Longroof, here is a few that should fit your set up.
This one lists most of our cars for a 2 light application:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ceramic-H4-Headlight-Relay-Wiring-Harness-2-Headlamp-Light-Bulbs-Socket-Plug-OEM-/331788326688?fits=Year:1979|Model:Regal&hash=item4d40201720:g:CYMAAOSwAF5UZuwE&vxp=mtr
Then these two the closest thing I can find is 1978 GMC but I don't see what difference there would be they are less expensive.
The first one is on California so you would get it sooner.

Thanks so much for the links. That's very helpful...and much appreciated.

I use Hella conversion lenses as well with HIDs. They are dependable and light up to road. I have never run out light on an old country road at night
