Voltage drop on gauge

You're relying on a 30+ year old factory gauge with 30+ year old wiring and circuit board. I would run a new wire right to the gauge to see if it is the gauge or something in the sock wiring carrying the signal to the gauge.

Think im done with the wiring now. Onto the next project. Feels like i have alot more space

Thanks. The driver side could use some work. But it will be more tricky. Thicker wire. And the disty crap. Will need more materials to do it right. But I jumped onto my other project before it got to late.

try and devide and conqure.it's real easy to get overwhelmed.break it down into smaller more obtainable goals, much easier that way.plus each time you finish one thing it's a small win that keeps you moving forward.

When I dropped in my 327, running a 60K volt coil, I was only running about 10 volts with the stock alternator. I had already installed an 875 cranking amp battery but when I upgraded to 100 amp alternator, I'm back to steady 14 volts charge. It's worth the little cost for the upgrade and you don't have to worry about stereo upgrades or other power accessories draining your battery.

I thought about getting a bigger alt but right now i have other issues to look into....i usually dont even listen to the radio, I like the exhaust music! There is an afermarket radio with amp for interior speakers in the trunk. I plan on eliminating the amp in the future. Hope the wiring behind the radio isnt like what i seen under the hood
