Good looking wagon, man. New Jersey car, huh? Mine was as well.
It looks very original.. I could tell by the outlines of the old stick-on side trim. That blue was a very popular color.
My replacement doors were that color..

I like the vintage sport wheel...very nice. I had the Buick version of that wheel that I sold years ago. What a mistake. :(

Good luck with your progress and engine transplant.

yup pretty clean for the age. I was amazed at how nice the interior is. I will be repainting the body same color come spring time. I got lucky on the sport wheel. my dad just happened to have one in blue laying around the garage.it is nice and aged just like the rest of the interior.

finally got some pics of my 81 wagon. was mostly stock when I bought it.all that was done when I got it was the rally wheels the h.o. 305 and a ridiculously 3.5" exhaust.

Nice Wagon 81msw79.
Did you fab that ridiculously 3.5" exhaust? is that a single 3.5?
Do you have any pics of it.
I was thinking the same for mine 2 into one down the pass side being there is not much room to get a decent size pipe past the fuel tank.
From what I've been reading for street use and low end torque it works.
The new Chevy 6.2 400hp pickups have single 3-1/2" and lotsa turbo guys run a single pipe.
Only downside is the sound :(

What's the column out of? I can probably get you the GM component view of the assembly (what F**d calls the exploded view). Need to know year and model. ...

Thanks, but I have the factory manual. I think that covers it. I've been busy the last couple of days but will probably dive back in today. My "new" column should be here the next few days but I'm going to get the slack out of the original and put it back together before I swap it out.

Hey 81msw79, where did you get those dog dish hubcaps? I'm looking for a set for my wagon.

They are 67 chevy rally disc brake caps. these are the earlier style then the Mexican style rally caps. here is a better pic. they came with the car but are not hard to find on ebay , reproduction catalogs or swap meets.
