The V6 WC T5 came with 3.35 1st gear and either 0.72 or 0.68 OD. Not quite the torque rating of the V8 version, but may be usable.

Check out BritishV8.org/articles/borg-warner-t5-id-tags.

Actually the later ones were rated at 305 or 310 ft/lbs, not bad, equal to the V8 ones. I know Olds bellhousings up to 76 or so will bolt up, dual pattern. Olds used the "Dearborn" 3 spd top loader in the 60's since GM didn't have a heavy duty 3 spd manual at the time. Makes putting a WC late V6 T-5 on an Olds V8 easy.

I know the 92 T5 WC for a V8 is sought after cause they have better components compaired to the previous T5 WC for the V8 but I don't know if the version for the V6 got the same upgrade in the 90's. I have an 88 T5 WC V8 version but it has been upgraded with carbon fibre cones and a few other goodies. I have another 88 V8 version that is just stock

My understanding the V6 did as well. Remember the mid 90's V6 Camaro's had 200 hp I believe.

I have an Astro bellhousing that has a SBC/90 V6 engine side and the Ford trans side. The trans that came with it was NWC, and had a 3.50 first gear. You might keep an eye peeled for one of these at the boneyard. The WC GM pattern T5 cases are almost as rare as the V8 T5s themselves. I'm not sure if you can swap WC cases and NWC cases.

I have a buddy that runs a Pontiac Solstice trans (Aisin AR5) behind a 600+ horsepower turbo 5.3 in a lifted Volvo wagon on BFG mud terrains. It has a bellhousing from a big block and a couple other things to make it work but overall not bad. It does look like those transmissions are getting more expensive than they were. He doesn't do standing clutch drops for obvious reasons but does shock it into rolling burnouts. He has bent the rear subframe into a pretzel and the trans is still going strong.

Also CD009 Nissan trans is a legitimate option with an adapter.

I'd like to see a picture of that rig.

The AMC/Jeep 2.5 4 cylinder bell housing has the Chevy V8/90 degree V6 pattern with the Ford transmission pattern. It's probably similar to the Astro van bell housing
Cool. I did not know the Jeep used a GM engine. When did the 4-cylinder end in the Cherokee?
