Finally got my gauges and dash reinstalled. I don’t believe my gas gauge is working and I need to drill/weld my exhaust for the bung and 02 sensor for the wide band.

i finally found a 90 degree male #6 o-ring a/c adapter/fitting.it'll help a bunch for sure.

Finally hit a junk yard this year & got some goodies
The positives: got a trunk lid off a black SS so no drilling holes for the spoiler, a 115 speedo, another GM CD radio, some extra radiator pads.
The sh*t show: the radio went right into the trash-DOA with nothing usable, the speedo is alittle beat up with a bent trip stem but it works & I have two 85 units I can use for parts, then the trunk lid was not rust free-need to redo where the lock retainer goes & patch a spot in the bottom by the plate pocket.

Went junk yarding yesterday. Ten years ago i found a 79 H/O and took the header off it. It was t-boned in the left quarter, frame rotted, eng, trans, shifter, console, etc were gone at that time. And it was sitting at the top of a three car stack, normal for this yard. I stopped back there 3 years ago to find that they had started to crush out and the car was gone.
Fast foreword to yesterday, to my surprise it had only been moved to a part of yard with all the 50-60's cars are kept. No longer on a stack, but sitting on the ground in the same condition i last saw it in. It still had the original cluster, so i grabbed it and also found a radiator top plate.
I also grabbed a rear hatch seal off an explorer for my g-wagon.

funny you should mention them. i got up and left the house at 5:30 yesterday to get to rohners when they opened at 8am. only to find a hand written sign on the front gate stating they are closed till july 16th. huh, didn't see that on their web site. oh well. i'll try again in a month.

Well that sucks. I understand that Rohner's is a bit of a ride from the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area.
