Quadrajet arrived. Damn it looks good, but I am going to have to rework my throttle brackets to get everything hooked back up, and those cheap universal brackets are no fun to take apart.
Crazy thing is these have less material, but they're charging more for them vs my boxed x-member!!!Was thumbing through the latest Summit catalogue yesterday and saw this:

Hey, Summit/G-Force - stop stealing my ideas!
Wife is already starting to get jealous...Liked it so much, you bought it dinner?
I can understand that a certain amount of design measurements and fabrication are required, but most has been already been figured for earlier crossmember versions. Maybe I sound like a cheapskate, but I think the price is about $100 too much. Was thumbing through the latest Summit catalogue yesterday and saw this:

Hey, Summit/G-Force - stop stealing my ideas!
Just got my Iceman crossmember.
This is for the TH350
The weight is only 7 lbs and it is a rigid piece.
It is bare metal, so I need to add a little paint.
You think if they added all the welds back it would only weigh 30% less? 🤔Was thumbing through the latest Summit catalogue yesterday and saw this:
