What did you do at work today?

Stores South issues DEF by the gallon or case but it is definitely not intended to go into the fuel tank of a diesel. Based on volume issued, the stuff should almost be on a standing P/O with a default day/time for regular deliveries.

On this Ram ya open the fuel door and both fills are next to each other. Kinda honest mistake. The customer didnt pour in very much and realized what he was doing. Didnt run it and had it towed to the shop. About 15 gals of fuel in the tank and was cloudy. The filter next to the tank i emptied into a clear jug and that fuel was clear. Only 11000 miles on this truck. Called the local dealer for parts and they claim same issue with another diesel Ram in their shop. That truck ran with the def in the fuel. They did the same repairs I did but also did a pump and injectors too. oouch

Not today, in fact this was over a year ago, but definitely one of my better days at work.

How many of you can say you got paid to drift a 90 meter square in support of your captsone? On a military base, in a restricted area, in your uninsured/unregistered race car. This pic was taken on my last pass. I'd been struggling as I'd stirred up so much grit that the car kept spinning on the back end. For the last pass, in 1 take, I made it happen and a class mate took this shot (taken from a video clip of the whole thing). I just dug it back up today. I will never forget this day.

Started these a few weeks ago. We’re in primer as soon as I ran my block over them, I saw how crappy they were. Then the filler started falling off. Finally got them in primer Saturday. Told the owner today where we were at, and he wasn’t happy with my price, even though he signed an agreement before hand. Glad I only got into the job this far. He’s expecting to give me the car as it looks in the brown, to turn it into the black cars paint job on a Maaco budget. Don’t need that kind of work.

Based on that story it sounds like he did some of the bondo work himself and thought it was close enough that you would just finish it and make it look good to save money... aka traditional 'self help' already of time.
