Wasn’t today, but a couple days ago. Had a 6 alarm fire on the other side of the city. A friend snapped a couple pics of us working.
Putting a new crane truck together
Somebody along with his cross-shift got a new, yet to be abused International tandom for their winter snow route.
But it gets a well used front plow from the one truck it replaces.
Just got to wait for the shop to mount a spreader unit to it so we can set it up for the winter.

Spent the past two days truely polishing turds. New big boss wants all the plows to get a good needle gun treatment & have everything painted. Old big boss just had guys drownthem in industrial paint with brushes & rollers with out dealing with rust, over thick paint or even to use a primer so one can just imagine the ugly I'm trying to spray with S-W industrial implement yellow that doesn't hide the rust or bare metal with out primer. A Earl Scheib would of rejected these & they would of put paint on anything the would get through the door. I have a week still to go painting turds with the truck frames next.
