What did you do at work today?

Yeah that’s nuts. My shop never wants to deal with used parts though. It they’ll change an easily repaired part to new for the markup. Make repair fender bumper job into new fender, bumper, blend hood, blend door, blend post. All those blends whether I want them or not. Then they don’t understand when the body man can’t fit the fender like original and the job blows up. They think just because it’s an OEM part, it’s going to fit like the one that was on the car.
OK rant over
PS I still hate painting. I hate being pigeonholed into the painter group of guys that don’t want to get dirty.

Your better off I'm 30ish years in my back is shot everything hurts and I'm tired. I'm not complaining I just think I should have stayed in the booth lol yeah I do some hard hits just think that one won't even have a Carfax....... The customer had no insurance and there paying cash!! It's a 2020 Honda Accord and if memory serves me right it only has like 1500 miles so far the only new parts it's getting are a headliner and some passenger side seat parts.
Glad I'm not in the market for a Honda.

You never know what your buying especially if the body guy was good at his job 😂
How true. The wife and I have an '03 Ford Focus, that I had an accident with in 2013. Creamed the front left fender, and the strut on the left. The body shop did an excellent job. The only way to tell is that the left headlight is crystal clear, while the old right headlight is dingy ,and needs polishing. Of course, being a Focus, it went T.U. in 2016 when it dropped a valve seat.

I wonder if they had insurance and the claim was declined or they did not want to report it.... 🤔

Another fume hood built. This one is going to Brazil. Some minor last minute things to finish once the parts arrive, a quick testing, then clean it, package it, and get the second tool built for the same place so they can be shipped together. Yes that is polished stainless steel. A real PITA to not damage while your building it even with the paper on it.

I am sitting in on a telecon with all the senior brass in the "company"... and it's running long (not surprised). But, my couch is soft, and my new slippers just showed up from Amazon (sooo.. cozy).
