What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

My doors closed OK, but not very smoothly. I finally decided to check for the problem, and found I had a bad hinge on each side of my GN. A top one on one side, and the bottom one on the other side. Luckily, I had a stash of used hinges I had saved over the years from frequent junkyard excursions. So instead of having to rebuild the problem hinges, I was able to just swap the replacements in. I used my Harbor Freight transmission jack (CHINESE) which has a foot long pedestal with a groove running down the middle to support the door while I replaced the hinges, one at a time. Removing the door is not necessary when replacing hinges. Just do one at a time. Now my door closes smoothly -- like butter!

Bernadette needed alternator and belt replacement and since I'm at it I put in a optima(red top) battery that had from my el camino ( I miss Elaine). Now all's good, nice charge and holding. Now I have one thing that I just notice. When the head lights are on I have no turn single, but when the head lights are off the turn single work. Everything works fine and no voltage drop either.
Any ideas of what it could be or if I'm over looking something?

It's probably the headlight switch.

stopped by the machine shop to pick up the finished 3rd member friday.he showed me the rest of the old limited slip.he says it was missing a thrush washer from the start.there were two parts that just ground into each other from the beginning, had there been one there it wouldn't of lost it's preload and failed.he set up the new center section @ .008 back lash. we unloaded the short block and talked about that for a while.
i ended up prepping and spraying the center section and h20 pump late nite last nite.came out good.
brake clean was on sale @ auto zone today so i used six cans douching the heads so i can prep them for paint.

My guess is bad ground.

What did you paint these with?

My guess is bad ground.
Check the ground at the turn signal socket; it's a cheesy little ordeal that clips in the side. I dicked around with mine for weeks before I just bought a new socket.
