Well I'm not sure if I have just been getting dumber or what but I can't seem to post a picture from photobucket for sh*t any more. And it's starting to piss me off!!!!!
Yesterday I took apart the top end and installed a new set of lifters on the Regal. My rebuild and had about 400 miles on it and couldn't get a tap out of it. I bought a Lunati cam and lifter set and am not at all impressed with the lifters that came out of the car, swapped in a set of Elgin's I bought off a guy from Ebay and tapping is gone.
Today I swapped rotors and installed new bearings....looks like I have a problem with the right front sticking. Looks like I'll be taking it all back apart again one night this week.........Fix one thing and another problem pops up.
Blown head gasket on the Diesel Cutlass. Drove it home from work today it was about a 20 mile trip. A long slow trip. But I made it. Starting new job this week. Once I get going again. I hope to be installing the 455 by November.
Not today, but this weekend, I fab'd a couple of radiator brackets, and a strap to mount my coil, out of some thin steel. My oldest son, Codi, was in the garage working with me this weekend, and I was showing him how to make the brackets, showed and explained some tools to him....etc...very good weekend. Glad he is showing some interest, and we get to spend the time together.
Rad brackets:
Took my car over to mechanics on Friday because my rearend is making a whining, groaning noise............turns out (like i thought) the pinion bearing is shot. Left it there and getting it back today or tomorrow.
