Recently had a bad sector gear I had to change. Today I tightened everything back up bolted my steering wheel on. Played with carb, drove it out the shop under its own power and knocked the dust off then put it back up. Then my buddy called with the same issue his 79 monte's column wont lock.

Drove it to work, left an intersection a little too quick, and my cup holder flipped over backwards spilling coffee all over the rug, damnit :x . At least I'll have something to do on lunch break today, .

Finally got the Grand Prix running again! Long story short, I got fed up with the idiots at the machine shop the 305 is at and, with the help of a friend of mine, pulled the 350 out of my '76 Monte Carlo on Saturday. Went through the engine, he cleaned all the pistons and valves, replaced all the gaskets and seals, I cleaned and repainted the engine on Sunday. Monday the engine was in the car. Yesterday and today, my friend worked on a 2.5-inch Y-pipe to connect the headers to the stock exhaust. Today the engine fired with open headers and it sounded great! Tomorrow will be focused on buttoning up the exhaust and tuning.

The Grand Prix is running and driving. I drove her home and she drove beautifully.

Installed an MSD 6a box that I bought for $50. I wired it to my e-curve distributor and it runs great.l The car idles smoother and it seems to have better pick up and on the highway it seems to have a stronger pull. But I'm old so it could be my mind playing games with me again. The e-curve has to go in for repairs so I also bought an MSD 8551 distributor that will be a back up when the e-curve comes back. I don't trust the MSD ignition boxes too much so I like the e-curve cause I can unplug the box and use the e-curve without it..
