Finally got it fixed and drove it! I forgot how easy it gets to 80mph :lol: I also ordered my 496 stroker Scat rotating assembly today. Already starting my winter project

recurved my MSD 85551, took out my e-cuve and installed the 85551 for now so I can send the e-curve out for repairs
Brought the 78 malibu back from shop to do some details, took off my new spectre air cleaner and put on an edelbrock one inhad lying around till i get it back from shop, i washed it and taken it back to body shop tomorrow to finish color sand, yes i dont have a hood on the Bu, they are working on it at the shop for the GN hood ... Long day and hot!!
Checked it out for some boat towing in the near future. Put a 195º thermostat in for winter, greased my clutch linkage, charged the battery, and I even volunteered to drive the Wife to shopping just to put some miles on. 8)
I had a miss that sounded like a plug issue so I changed the plugs, got the idle down to 670 and it sounded good. Took it for a test but it was still missing. So I removed the 85551 distributor and put in my e-curve distributor and wired it up to the 6a box. Same results so I thought the 6a box I bought for $50 had issues. I disconnected the box from the e curve and wired the e curve to the coil. Same results so I narrowed it down the coil and I'll pick up one tomorrow. The good thing is the 85551 distributor and 6a box I bought for $150 are good so I'll put the 8551 back in tomorrow and wire back in the 6a when I get the coil tomorrow.
