Switched out the shift indicator in my car, so that it reads the correct gear selections for the 1979 model year. Anyone know what year/model the indicator with overdrive might have come from?

I'll take a guess - a 1981 Pontiac Firebird. It looks Pontiac or Camaro to me.

I have one that I have to install too. The clip that's attached to the end of that small cable, do you have a picture showing where it clips to?

See blue arrow on picture below

Completed installing the GN suspension parts on my 4-door Cutlass. Before today, I had (with the help of a friend) installed the full rear suspension ( sway bar, shock abs, coil springs) plus part of the front suspension (sway only).

Tonight, we completed the front suspension setup changing the coils and shock abs. Took us 6 hours. I think we're slow!

It's now 100% GN in terms of suspension.

And what a difference : the car is still comfortable, but the ride is crisp.

The biggest surprise: the steering is now more responsive and precise. All these years I though these g-bodies had slushy steering systems - while really it was the soft suspension which made the steering imprecise.

Before/After. Got rid of the dented/overdone trunk lid.

Went to the junkyard and got an engine bay light from an older Chevy truck. I wired it up and mounted it in the Monte for sh*ts and giggles. This is pretty impressive. It reaches about 8 feet behind the car!

Then I got the car out and washed it. My bro was home so we took some pics. His 99 T/A vs my 83 SS.
