Threw some fishing gear in the wagon and headed for a pond. Enjoying the nice weather.

Finally fixed the tach, it has been in V6 mode since I got it, pretty easy fix took about ten minutes total

That was probably the best mod hands down I did with my car too - what a difference with the tach.

I drove it to work. Still messing around with the choke ( didn't want to idle this morning when cold ). Leaves are starting to fall so I am going to drive it as much as I can until the snow flies.

Well actually got a chance to work on what i thought was a defective P/S pump, my belts kept squeaking and replaced the Alt and Alt belt and noise was still there at start up. I then replaced the P/S pump belt and noise was still there. Did some digging and found that because i recently had to cut my A/C belt off (it was breaking so i cut it) only running the Alt and the P/s pump on SBO motor. The Alt and P/S on on one side this caused the belts to squeel on start up and once i added a new A/C belt it is good to go. I am excited I dont wake up the dead when i start the car now with that embarassing SQUEEEEEEEL...

Going to start pulling my old motor out to see exactly what happened. I have a 5.3 that needed a little work so ill see if I can make a higher compression 5.3 with the 5.3 and 4.8 I have...

MY MALIBU, DOES SOMETHING, VERY SIMILIAD TO WHAT YOU'RE DESCRIBING -EXCEPT MY BELT(S) ONLY DO IT WHEN IT'S RAINING OUT...AND COUPLE DAYS AFTER IT HAS RAINED!! IT'S ANNOYING AND EMBARASSING. NOT TOO WORRIED ABOUT IT -GOING TO HOPEFULLY SWAP MOTOR/TRANS. I FEEL YOUR PAIN MAN!!

I DRIVE THE BU, ALL DAY..EVERYDAY -RAIN, SNOW, SLEET OR SHINE!!
