Testing new dual pass radiator for my BBC on the hottest day in NY. Did very well and pleased with the move to the dual pass rad. Running a 22 lb. cap. @75MPH, 3K rpm she ran no hotter than 190*. Dropped the speed down to 65mph and she ran 184*. This rad is doing a much better job than the BeCool Rad that I blew up last fall.

Got some new tires for my car today on the front. Primewell 195/75/r14s. Ride pretty nice, nice deep tread. Way better than the old mushy whitewalls that were on it. I can take a corner now and not have my car scream at me.

I also found some cool stuff:
Second one shows off the new front tires.

When I finally came out around 4pm due to the intense heat.
I decided to wash, clay bar, drink a few beers and the polish the old girl !

maybe not today, but have gone back into "pack-rat mode", as my wife calls it! picked up a nice dash and a couple other pieces from a regal that really could've been saved-will go back for more soon... also scored a beautiful set of zq8 wheels at an auction, complete with caps and most of the retainers and decent tires for $100!
hopefully I'll get in the mood to finish the trans for the GP, and get back on the regal...

I couldn't get a shop worked out so I rented a a 10 by 20 storage locker to change my flywheel, clutch assembly, get rid of the slave cylinder and put my hydraulic throw out bearing back, set up a new cross member and replace my transmission. It should be back on the road some time this week. Good thing about the storage is the 1st 4 weeks is free and there is no minimal time to rent it. ...🙂

Ah Steve, brilliant! I never would have thought of that.
Tonight I installed the hood to complete the exterior of my car-that was an interesting solo venture but done without damage to the car or me so I'll call it a success!

put the GP up in the air and drained the transmission, no metal bits so that is a good sign...got a late start so tomorrow I'll have to bust my butt...

hotter than hades out but dragging the old heap down to the local car show tonight. Word is quietly spreading that the local clubs have been collecting donations in addition to donating part or all of their proceeds collected from the shows to the formally local family of three ( son and his parents ) who passed last weekend on the 407 in a fiery crash while driving their 48 Chev back from a show in Trenton. Good on ya Over N' Under, Mississauga Classic, Back Alley Cruisers, Brampton and Woodbridge Car Clubs. As well as any others I may have missed.
