Just been driving around for a few hours a day aimlessly. Burying the needle a few times. I wonder how fast i was going with the needle buried past 85 for about 10 seconds. Oh well. I guess I'll never know. Car cruises at about 2200rpm with one half bald 195/75/14 and a 195/70/14 with 2.29 gears and a TH350 at 75MPH. Don't worry, I did burnouts until the tires were the same height. 😛 Oh, the car paseed 87,000 miles Friday night. Now up to I think 87,18... something. I suppose I should update my sig.

Not about my car, this post but I poked around and found my first post on here. My first post ever on this site in 2014. Ahh, memories. all the dumb questions.

Been on a week long hiatus from work and I go back tomorrow, so today will be the last of a week long binge on the car....everything is back together save for a handful of odds and ends. Did the tilt steering loose bolts fix the other day, that was an interesting adventure. Most of the recent work has been just putting stuff back together- but since a lot of the stuff has been apart and floating around the garage for years, finding and remembering how it all fits has been frustrating at times but also rewarding as it's come together.
Hope to have fenders done today and roll her out for a cooling flush and refill....after that, I may go pull some insurance and get a quick shake down run in this evening. This car has not seen a road for 5 years and I'm not exactly an ace mechanic so I'm fully expecting some (hopefully minor) issues.
Wish me luck!

dropped it off at the shop this morning for an AC tuneup. Did a bunch of work last summer to get the AC working again but come the fall I noticed didn't get as cold. Now this spring its barely working at all. Compressor still cycles in so I assume its a leak and just low.

They topped the system off and the compressor seal is leaking 🙁 They can fix the seal but the labour involved makes it more cost effective to swap out the whole thing. I have 2/50 AC for the rest of the year I guess !

Oh and I got my new Historic Plates for the old monte !

I parked it and just left fire and theft on it. My insurance company sold out to another one and my premiums went up almost 25% for no reason, no tickets and no claims. On top of that the reviews on claims with this new company are terrible. I'm in search of a new insurance company after 20 years with my current one.

Whatever happened with the recent trouble you had with the T-5? Sorry to hear about the insurance. I have Condon & Skelley on mine. Very affordable and agreed value.

I have my spare T5 wc that I have just gone through and will be installing that one. I'll check out the broken one when I have it out. I have been delayed due to a problem with my Jeep that I just figured out.
