Didn't do anything to the car itself, but did stuff for the car. I was digging around in the garage, and found the p/s bracket that came off the blue '76 350 when I got it. I kept the V6 bracket for simplicity's sake, but it's rather large and gangly, and still has provisions for the smog pump. I'm gonna try and adapt the 350 bracket to the V6 pump. Also for funzies I remounted the aluminum alternator bracket along with the p/s bracket and sat an alternator on there. My whole goal is to make it look like it came in the car from the factory, and this alternator bracket plays a part in that. And it'll allow me to have AC again. If Buick stuck with it back in the day and still made a V8, I think they would've used a lot of stuff from the 3.8 on the 5.7 and vice versa, considering that's partly how they made the 3.8 in the first place. I for one, would love to live in a universe where the GNX was a 400hp intercooled SFI turbo monster with 8 cylinders. Anywho, that's pretty much all I did today. I cleaned the bracket up a bit on the bench wire wheel, and it says
FABCO
MADE IN CANADA
I thought that was kinda neat. Never heard of FABCO before.
