What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Finally got the last four body mount bolts installed but I didn't tighten any of them yet. Started measuring and the rear of the body needs to move to the passengers side about 1/4 to 3/8" The real question is how can I accomplish that without taking the body bolts back out? Fun fun

when I did my GP I used 4 longer bolts at the each end of the C channel so I could slide the chassis into position. I had the body supported and drew the chassis up to the body with those 4 bolts while measuring the gap between the rocker and chassis. Once I had the chassis close enough to the body and happy with the gap I installed the proper bolts in the other locations, measured once again and then replaced the 4 longer bolts with the correct length and after one more measurement I torqued all the bolts. My chassis didn't have any of the suspension installed, just the fuel lines and brakes lines had been installed so that made it easier to manhandle the chassis

Became delirious from the heat, over 95 again, day 5. No a/c, day 3. So i sat in the driveway and started removing the di-noc woodgrain from the g-wagon.

I stopped once my face felt like it was on fire from sitting in the sun. Lol

I did that too. Used a small weed torch after the heatgun wasn't working as fast as I wanted. Tedious stuff there.

Took mine to the track this weekend. my reaction times are getting better, but, I am severely traction hampered. I am on the hunt for some drag radials or some slicks . Best run so far is a "not so speedy 10.75- 1/8th mi., and my top speed has been about 65mph thru the traps.

I got yanked up by the MD State POlice. Apparently, I was driving on an expired plate. They don't pull you over if the sticker is ON THE CAR not in the glove box. Oopsie! She gave me a warning.
When I got home, I put the sticker on the tag, fixed a burned out parking light, and took yet more tension off the steering box. It's really twitchy with a tight box ( 😀 ) and 3* of caster! I think I might crank a little more toe in when I put the new adjuster sleeves on.

Dropped the tank to put in a new sending unit.
Original one was erratic, would swing the gauge from full to 1/2 on every corner.
For 40 years old, everything else was in great shape, including the
ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET ON TOP OF THE TANK!!!
Second one we've found on this car, first one was under the rear seat, but only 1/2 was readable.
Install went well with no issues, love my ATV jack for jobs like this.

Chirped the 345s on the 1-2 shift.

Ran wire for electric choke and installed new carburetor. Should be completed tomorrow and back on the road
What does that little connector go? Previous owner had it bolted to the hole above the spring but doesn't look right.
