Finished the TH200 to TH350C swap on Wednesday. After a few short test drives, drove it to work on Thu& Fri. It is a far better driving /shifting trans. I went with a TransGo shift kit and it's great. I have had TH350's in the past that were too harsh on the 1-2 shift, but this one is just crisp enough. The TH200 had a 8-26-92 date on top of it in grease pencil, so I assume it has been out before, still shifted like crap. Very easy swap, I had to reshape the cooler lines a little and fab a 1/4" vacuum line for the modulator($7 at Oreilly's vs $30-ish for a pre-bent from Summit). Kickdown cable fit, but had to be adjusted for function of course. Used the TH350 torque converter bolts. Adjusted column shifter in Neutral-OK.. Speedo cable -OK. Crossmember with Energy Suspension trans mount-OK. I didn't have a flexplate/torque converter cover but found one on a V6-700R4 from an Astro van that fit after I cleared it for the starter.

What brand headers are those? The look like clutch linkage would clear & how close are the to the crossmember?

They are from Speedway motors. They supposedly fit the g body but I had to notch the frame behind the motor mount on the driver's side. Yes they easily clear the clutch the linkage. They are shorty style so way away from the crossmember. Passenger side fits great with no mods.

I’m running a hydraulic slave on a conventional mechanical bell housing in my 78 Monte. I’m worried about the fork hitting the floorboard. It’s a T-56 magnum and the car has never had a manual transmission

Set the wagon up for datalogging transmission line pressure, and added an additional lead for a future sensor - plus the WBO2. Information is power.

Cut out a rust hole in the Camino and patched her up. Not show car quality but it's not a show car so it's all good with me

I shoulda took a pic of the rust spot. It was really bad, from underneath the bumper almost to my side marker light. Got her sawed out and grinded/sanded all the rust away inside

After the first bit of Bondo and sanding. Used wire mesh to reshape the body so the fiberglass filler had something to hold on to

After a few layers of fiberglass and Bondo gold

I reused some paint I had from when I last patched a rust spot. You can see where it obviously looks more metallic than the rest of the light blue but it's whatever

I'm a little surprised that reshaping this bump where the bumper fits over wasn't too hard

Became delirious from the heat, over 95 again, day 5. No a/c, day 3. So i sat in the driveway and started removing the di-noc woodgrain from the g-wagon.

I stopped once my face felt like it was on fire from sitting in the sun. Lol

I used a trans go kit too. I didn't want it barking 2nd at 15mph, or at all really. I wanted it to shift quick, firm, and crisp. And it does.

Did a little tuning on the wagon, spun the tires and made some noise.
