Realized I haven't made a video with my "new" exhaust yet...
Here it is:
Some dillhole in an admittedly nice Audi drove by so you can't hear me pull away.
For future refference video was done with the old carb. Since it got hot outside it's had issues starting first thing unless I push the pedal half way and keep it there and walk it down until its happy at 800rpm. Plus I think it had a fuel boiling issue after sitting for anywhere from as soon as 3 minutes to a half hour. After the car cools down it's fine. Anyway, this carb is a mis mash of random Buick carbs I had (after it got dropped on the ground). I'm surprised it ran as well as it did, but you could tell it just wasn't 100% anymore. It's not really worth fixing imo, but it will make a good spare carb.
Also installed my beautiful new 17057241 Qjet from Everyday Performance. As soon as it got gas it ran like a champ dead smooth right out of the box. Adjusted curb idle (engine already warm) and it idles beautifully. I'll still fine tune it with a vacuum gauge, recheck timing, and go to some backroads and make some noise.

Out with the old:

FYI - 'dillhole' - that made me laugh 🙂 That term ranks in the same category as chucklehead
f*ck face is my personal favorite. far more aggressive, but it's got those sharp consonant sounds.

Changed the drivers side window motor this weekend. Besides being really slow, it would intermittently stop working. Fortunately it had been replaced previously so the holes were already drilled to access the bolts!😎
