My electric fan controller died on me on my way home from work last night. Luckily it was cool enough out that it didn't boil over but still sucks. I wired in my spare today, and it seems to be working fine.

Intake gasket kit showed up today and I got the rest of the top of the motor all back together, minus the valve covers since I still need to adjust the rocker arms.

Stopped short of firing it up since the 40 Series Flowmaster would piss off the neighbors at 10:30 PM.

Drove mine to work. Problem is I did not want to stop and go to work, but I did. I love driving my car now! And the proof I drive it.

I have a by-pass toggle switch that I set up just n case the thermal switch dies

Got outside before the rain came in and cleaned up the old trunk carpet and reinstalled it

I have a jumper in the glove box that I can put in to bypass the controller in case of emergency, but since I am rocking the dummy light dash it either did not get hot enough to trip the light or failed late enough in the trip not to matter.

Well, I tried firing it today and it was only popping through the carb. My diagnosis is that it lost time while pumping the cylinders to replace the valve seals while the distributor was out. I didn't have time to look for TDC and besides I was frustrated. So I shut the shop door and went and mowed the estate instead.

I'll jump back on it again tomorrow.

Broke my rear view mirror off with bass, wasted $20 of gas, and some how beat on it so badly it will no longer idle. Adjusted idle, idle air screws, accelerator pump, timing, and checked for vac leaks to no avail.
