I usually use a touch of antiseize on the plug threads up near where they start (minimizing chance of any getting int he chamber or on the electrode) and do 1/4 turn past finger tight. If you get them in by hand you can feel plenty well where they stop. 1/4 turn past that, check after a warm up and cool down cycle. As for the oil filter thing, could not have an anti drainback valve, letting oil drain back to the pan... just a guess. Put in the reccomended amount (5 quarts with filter change with stock type pans), and keep an eye on it. I check the oil when it's overnight cold so all the oil has drained down so I know how much is in the pan.Per you guys recommendations...I pulled my plugs...and gosh darn it that was a task. Those freaking headers made everything tough. I've never done it before so I actually enjoyed figuring it out. I have the new plugs but I forgot that I needed to gap them and of course I didn't have the tool. I changed the oil as well and there was barely any oil in there when I unscrewed the filter...yikes.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to get the new plugs in tomorrow. Will I be ok without a torque wrench?
