What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

I hadn't driven the 442 since September, so I took it out for a quick 108 mile cruise, filled it up with fresh gas, threw the cover on it and tucked it away for the winter... Only put 406 miles on it this year...

I forgot, but this weekend I also took the passenger seat out of the 87 project, and put in the 85.....(since the PO took it out). I also tightened up the wobbly tilt steering column.....

I drove it all weekend and went for probably the last cruise of 2011 yesterday ( about 300 kms round trip ). I didn't keep track of the mileage this year but I figure at least 10 tanks of fuel were burned so that would be about 4000-5000 kms.

Over the last 6 weeks I finally got out the old speaker box and particle board seatback, replaced the seatback with steel from a donor GP ,mounted my 6x9's, replaced the headliner and got it all back together just last friday. Over the winter I will build a new speakerbox for my amps and 2x10's

It's filthy from the drive yesterday so I drove it to work this morning. On the way home tonight it will get a bath and take its place at the top of the driveway for it's winter nap.

picked up new seats

Tweaked the rebuilt Q-jet to eliminate an off-idle stumble.

Ran errands; picked up the new carpet, made a JY run and also picked up the SEM paint for the console.

Getting everything ready for the carpet and console/floor shifter installation.

it wasnt today but a few days ago I blew the rear in my elky. I guess it was my own fault. I knew it was bound to happen, just was hoping it would wait awhile. so now im stuck with no car lol. I havent pulled the diff. cover yet, but i have a feeling I might of messed somethin up bad. I jacked it up pulled the wheels and drums off and tried spinning the axles w/it in nuetral. the driver side, which was the noisyest while driving, spun real hard and made a horrifying crunching/grinding sound, and the pass side spun really easy(it WAS a limited slip lol) so now im on the search for another rear because I really dont know enough about them to fix it. it was a bad day!

NOT A DAYUM THING TODAY BUT (davidlemet1985 ) PM SENT

I installed a nice tach/battery combination pigtail ACCEL 170072 8) I removed the power wire and connector from the plug and installed a 10ga lead and a new connector into the plug.

*note* 10ga butt connector is not a heat shrink friendly size. The 1/4" heat does not fit over it and the 3/8" heat shrink does not shrink down onto the 10ga wire :?
