Still f*ckin leaks. Up next, RTV + new thermostat housing. Apparently the new housing and a dry installed gasket won't cut it. -_-
If it leaks after I fix it again Im probably gonna have to put it down. I just dont get why after 5k miles it just started out of the blue and nothing I have tried so far will fix it. Nothing. Not gaskets with or without rtv not filing the old housing not a new thermostat new cap new hoses new housing... Nothing. It ONLY leaks after it is shut off after being at op temp. Also, the temp gauge will swing from 190 to what I think is 210ish. Its gradual but it can do it about a few times in about a 30 second span. I just dont get it. Its never done this before. My old motor never did this before. Im more confused than angry at this point.

I about to drive to Des Moines and check this crap out, but it is snowing there and there is no snow up here. Were exactly is it leaking from? I think it has to be heat related. It seems to be leaking when it is 20° out side and the engine is hot, and not so much when it is 40-50° out side.

I would look closely for a hairline crack!

No snow here. Barely 1/4" fell last night. 6" my *ss. It seeps around the gasket, leaks seemingly from the bottom of it. All clamps are tight. And new. Every hose in the cooling system is new. Your car prolly has a lil shelf area of the intake, thats where the coolant accumulates. It drains down to the passenger side and pools there. at most its been like a teaspoon of coolant, but thats a teaspoon too much. I think for my final attempt I will take the damn intake off vring it inside warm it up and put the gaslet with rtv on inside and let it cure. I think the rtv isnt fully curing in the cold weather. Granted I didnt use rtv this time and it still leaked, but its a possibility and a solution Im not against.

Get a pressure release rad cap and when you shut it down release the pressure.

Or goop up that thing good. since you changed the water outlet a bunch of times maybe the issue is the intake.

I have a 16psi cap on there now, not really a fan of having to pop the hood and release pressure for thr rest of forever. Is 16psi the correct psi? I havent gooped it up with the new water neck yet. If that dont do it, idk what will.

I'm with TURA, I'd be looking at the intake at this point. Is it at all possible that it is leaking from somewhere else and just looks like it's from the housing?

TURA?????

Well thats better than the usual TUNA!!!!!!!
