The weather was great today so I was going to take the GP out for a run. My son's place has a dirt driveway to the barn and my GP is parked close to the barn. The mud on the driveway was deep so that killed my plan. I started the GP up and it sounded great and that got me thinking I could take a short cut over the lawn but that would set a bad example for my grandkids...:D

Problems or an upgrade?

The problem is the need to upgrade. LOL.

I need the torque converter out of the car for the TBSS which it was originally built for. Plus, now I can put a 4L80E in its place. That and there will be a few other tweaks before next spring so I can start pushing this thing toward the 10s. ;)

I just hate undoing work.

Glad to hear it isn't that something is broken already. Those sound like nice upgrades.

Not today, but yesterday I smoothed out the casting flash on my valley pan cover, primed and painted it. I also dropped the new lifters/trays into the LS.

You should consider drilling and tapping a hole in it at the PS front corner and inserting a 90* barb fitting, and then run that into a catch can with some check valves... poor man's LS6 valley cover PCV. I will be doing this on the Monte's 4.8L - and I will be pulling air from from the valve covers as well. Basically, it will be a system that uses the turbines under load and the intake outside of boost (this is how my TBSS is set up).

Obviously without the turbo(s) just using the valley cover and stock outlets on the valve covers is sufficient for managing clean and dirty air.

Mike, I'm glad you mentioned that. I've been researching on what methods would be effective and have come across the mighty mouse catch cans. They look nice, but need to find something a bit less expensive as I know there are tons of catch can options out there.
On the barb fitting, what size would you recommend? I was thinking 1/4" or 3/8", but you've been in the game of boost and I haven't. I want to do it right the first time, and not have to go back dozens of times to correct sh*t that could've been prevented from the get go!
Thanks man.
