What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

That ST10 with the cast iron case and 5 rings is a rare transmission...and it's nicely geared

2.88, 1.91, 1.33, 1.00
I built 2 of them like that. Nodular cases and mid plates and 2.88 first gear. I figured if I was going to replace the Saginaw it would be with something similarly gear ratios but way stronger and I didn't want to cut the car to do it. The down side is a factory 79 A body Hurst shifter was sacrificed to do it.

With the pending arrival of the new rear seat material, I made the stocker go from this...

And now I wait lol.

"New material"..... does that mean presewn covers, you're taking it to a shop, or you're getting all seamster on us?
Presewn covers. Talked to the shop that did my headliner and he wouldn't do anything custom. He only does stock stuff.
Talked to another shop and they wanted $1K for a rear seat. Then the true hotrod interior shop here was a little north of $1k and a 6month plus waiting list!!!!!

Me no see! Prolly could with some seat time. I'll be installing the covers though.

Got home early today, expecting the brown truck to deliver exhaust by 1430hrs because that was the time frame listed. Figured I'd scuff the seat mounting "arms" since they were pretty rusty. Scuffed them real quick, self etched and satin blacked. Nothing fancy, won't be visible, but rust will be halted!

It's now 1700hrs and no sign of brown truck!!! Have to leave soon to pickup kids, c'mon sheesh!!!!!

"Refurbished" my smashed park light lens/housing. Being the cheap SOB I am I refuse to buy new park lights(for now).
I figured I cant mess the broken one up anymore than it already is. So I picked up a 3 pack of lens repair film for 12 bucks off Amazon I originally planned on just patching the gaping hole in the middle of the lens. I decided it looked silly with one bright piece in the center so I just cut the remaining film to fit the rest of the light.

There was a rather large part of the housing that was smashed out.You can see the missing material in the next photo fairly well.

So I did what any other cheap A$$ would do, busted out the hot glue gun and filled that gap.

Other than firing the car up and letting it get to temperature I haven't done squat to it. Work has been crazy and I just haven't had the time or ambition, which isn't always a bad problem. Make hay while the sun shines.

Waiting at the shop for my buddy to show up, figured I’d finally take a look at the “rust collector “, and see what surprises were in store for me...

some days you’re the dog, and some days you’re the hydrant... and those rare day’s, you’re the dog catcher!😛
