Took the wagon to pick up our grocery order this morning. Car seems extra loud with town being as quiet as it is.

New wheels and tires! Ordered them from CARiD as a package. The tires have a directional tread pattern and one was installed backwards, so I have to sort that out. Overall really happy with them:
U.S. MAGS U111 17x8 +1mm offset with Toyo Extenza HP II in 255/45R17.
Front suspension is stock with ~13 year old V6 springs under an iron SBC. Rear suspension is stock. Planning on a UMI suspension job in the future.

So finally got enough heat into the garage (had to open the man door to do it) that I could slide under the Monte and go for the clutch return spring. Have noted that there are actually two springs, one to act as an anti-rattle spring to keep the lower rod from bouncing around and the second being the actual return spring. Only thing here is that I have no idea what it ought to look like and where it gets mounted. Those headers are right in the road of a straight shot forward to the crossmember but possibly I am thinking in the wrong direction and it ought to look back towards the transmission crossmember or to a mounting tab or ear off the bellhousing or t-mission bolt. Any thoughts or better yet, pictures???
