The underbody is rusty and the front corner of the frame has been bent. The body mounts were pretty torched as well. I liked it, but it really wasn't roadworthy anymore.
Was bored with all the snow so I put a used cam and lifters and timing chain in the 60 over motor this will be the fourth engine this camshaft has seen its a old crane enforcer 286H I had a fresh set of 416 casting 305 heads lying around so I threw them on it The junk cast rebuilder pistons set 40 in the hole even with the engine decked even with the small chambers of the 305 heads it’s just under 10 to 1 compression it even got a used oil pump but I did splurge and put a new pick up screen on it
Two fails in one post..
#1 It was actually last week..
#2. I didn’t take any pics.
Had the Cutlass and the K10 transported to North Carolina. in the process my SS spoiler got destroyed along with a dent on my trunk. K10’s bumper guard is good though.. 👍(wait that’s 3 fails)
Not many details. It's a car my son and I are working on. Was going to be a hot street car for him that I bought but he keeps upgrading it. Narrowing the rear end this spring, pulled the frame off and redid the frame and front suspension everything is new. Have an Olds 424 stroker being built for it by cutlassefi right now. Should be getting it back in early January.
Filled the hole where the wiring for the opera light was on the passenger side. I've been slacking on the car progress in the last 5 months. Time to make it driveable for next year again.
Didn't actually work on the car, but I labelled and reorganized the parts containers to make it easier to locate the parts that I am looking for. I found that I have six wiper motors. If I would have guessed at the number, I would have only expected four. I gathered door parts and interior parts together into two containers, wiring and electrical harnesses into two containers, lights into one, instrument clusters and accessories into one.
Fourteen storage boxes worth of parts, now better organized so I can locate.
