Ummmm, if you remove/bend the rear support, you can use the flush mount plate instead of the John Holmes extension piece.....Installed my radio today. The kit I got had so many brackets. Took some convincing to get it to fit in the opening but after everything came out alright. First time I’ve had tunes in this car. It’s an Alpine unit with matching power pack that I’ll be tucking up in the dash. So many wires.

Wow. Pretty. Tell me about that radio set up. I'd love to have tunes in the GP. I haven't decided what to do about the front speakers

Changed the oil in the Pig- ~57,000 since the Series 2 swap...😎
All depends on how far you want to go. You can bend it back or cut it out. I will recommend a rear support (Alpine should have included a stud and back strap) if it's a CD player.Front speakers are Pioneer 3.5in model: TS-A878. Fit perfect in the Monte Carlo dash. Radio is an Alpine UTE-52BT with Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack pushing the speakers. Haven’t gotten rear speakers yet, undecided if I’ll run 4x10s or get adaptors for 6x9
I figured that’d work, how does that bracket come out though? Cut off wheel and go or is it more than that? Thanks in advanced.
