Finally after two years of waiting for a regal to show up in a south florida junkyard an 84 arrived this week. I got the alert at 1:15AM from u pull and pay. Left work early at 2:30PM and car was stripped bare. Luckily i got what i went there for. Perfect hardtop quarter-glass for $12.50 each. Also sourced a trunk filler plate from a GN in perfect condition for $75 from Craigslist


can start tearing off that vinyl mess today!

Yesterday I installed the heads, well one of them. Can’t seem to get a break with this thing. The ARP head bolt kit was missing one the of the washers. I ordered them and they should be in on Monday.
I also painted the intake, timing cover, and valve covers

was nice here. was able to take it out for a drive. the stance is much better.still think it will still settle more

Replaced the heater fan with a unit that I picked up at the wrecking yard several weeks ago. Checked it out with the battery charger before pulling the old unit out. It checked out fine, so I proceeded to make the swap. The replacement unit blows well at all 3 speeds, and is nice and quiet. The old unit made a horrible squealing noise until the engine warmed up on cold mornings.
Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, this is on the hood of a (someday) future non-G project, a "79 Datsun pick-up.
