What Did You Do To Your G-Body Today? [2020]

Well, when I got home from my work place (job was canceled today, see my post from this morning), I did go ahead and set up my HF tent over the Caballero,

and began removing the old crank window regulator on the driver door.
It was easier today than the passenger side was last Sunday, of course I had a little better idea of what I was doing this time. I was beginning the install of the electric regulator and the electric door lock by about 10:00. To hold the 1/4x20 1/2inch bolts in the lock actuator, I pushed them through some duct tape to keep them in place while I lined up the mount holes.

I plugged in the lock wiring harness and installed the unit into position.
Repairs that I made to the door include, installing a replacement inner door handle (original broke about 3-4 months ago), replacing the outer window beltline rubber strip, and repairing one of the metal window guides that I wasn't aware was broken. I then started all of the electrical wiring, including for future speakers in the aftermarket door panels that will go on later.
I didn't want to end up going to bed late tonight like I did last Sunday, so I packed everything away and will finish tomorrow or on the weekend.

I installed the pedal, some of the kilmat, and the mocked up the intake(still waiting for the gaskets). Sill waiting for the sending unit which I ordered on Monday and paid for it to be “next day shipping “... Still waiting for the Holley which is on back order. Why does the world ending have to get in the way of our projects.

I am Field Service Tech for Cummins and I'll tell you can I cannot work without it..
It is easily my most used and abused tool. Mine is about 3 years old now and while I can say it doesn't have the power it did as new, it still takes the abuse. I had a single battery for about 2 years and it would last me about 2 days of use. I just bought 2 new batteries and that was only because I dropped mine, cracked the case and the it would fall out the ratchet. By far my favorite tool I own.

Rolled around on the ground during the random rain we had yesterday replacing the transmission pan with an el cheapo chrome deal that is sure to leak but less than the old one which I found on the ground at a swap meet. 's got a drain plug so that's a plus. also replaced the little detent rod thing (annoying) and the kickdown cable which isn't the ****ing one i wanted (ca1951 has replaced the 1952, least they could do is put them in the right ****ing boxes) and didn't have enough slack in the casing so I had to put a cunty little button head allen and a nylock on the slotted cable end to actually get it to work.

later today going to the junkyard to see what more parts I can pilfer from that regal that looks exactly like mine. Hopefully fenders if they aren't shitty, but I think they want it as a derby car, so that may not fly.

What trans you got under that gauge pod/shifter?

TH350

Did a little more work, mechanic got the rest of the carpet done with the shifter in. While I beat my head against a wall trying to make my own shift boot from the same material i have throughout the car. I had 2 failed attempts and this is what I gave up on it as for now with just the centers mounted while I try to figure the correct amount to have out. Then just to feel like I got something accomplished I mounted the Sniper gauge
